Come prepared

What to bring

Nothing fancy — just pack comfy and you'll have a lovely time. Here's the short list.

  • Comfy, broken-in walking shoes or boots
  • A water bottle (at least one litre)
  • Sun hat, sunnies and sunscreen
  • A light rain jacket — Hills weather likes to surprise you
  • A snack or two to keep you going
  • Layers you can pop on and off as it warms up
  • A small backpack to carry it all

About me

G'day — I'm your guide

I've been walking these Hills for as long as I can remember, and honestly I never get tired of them. There's a certain kind of quiet up here — the light through the gums, the crunch of the track underfoot — that puts everything back in its place.

A few years ago I started sharing my favourite routes with friends, then friends of friends, and before I knew it Windmill Walks was a thing. I keep the groups small so it never feels like a tour bus — more like a wander with someone who knows the good spots and isn't in a hurry to leave them.

Come along, take your time, and let the Hills do their thing. Boots on, worries off.
